A Boston Anniversary | Personal

June 26, 2013

Yesterday morning as we lay silently staring up at the bright white never ending ceiling of the room that we are calling home for the week, I realized…this is the first time that we’ve gotten to rest in months. To breathe, to just enjoy each other, to soak in the little moments that we have with each other. We’ve ventured from the small quiet suburb in which we live, to the very different world of Boston. So in those quiet morning moments, it wasn’t actually the “quiet” that we’re used to. Cars, sirens, voices, horns, trash trucks, buses, loud music, the daily commotion of the city. I don’t think we’re quite accustomed to all of the sounds yet, but it is fun to experience this different culture together.

Three years ago yesterday, we promised to love and to cherish for better or worse, in the good times and the bad. We have been blessed with many good times with each other and the people we love, and we couldn’t ask for more. So to celebrate, we will rest, we will laugh, we will enjoy looking back on what the past three years have brought us and dream about what is still yet to come.

Yesterday, after brunch at a cute little diner just a few blocks down from where we’re staying, we decided to have some fun and take a few pictures before heading out to see Boston and then have an anniversary dinner at Legal Sea Foods Harborside! 🙂

Jeremy didn’t want to post this next one because it’s “too crazy”, but I insisted and he gave in 😉
