After about a week in beautiful South End, we made our way to New York City before heading back home. We stopped at Nantasket Beach on our way out of Boston just to take a moment to say goodbye to the city. We walked along the beach, found some shells, and bottled up some sand to take with us ;). It was a little cloudy and the water was like ice, but we didn’t care. We were having the time of our lives and it was the perfect way to end one part of our trip and start the next part. (pardon the iPhone shot ;))
The trip from Boston to NYC, which was supposed to take about 4 hours, turned into about an 8 hour trip. Good thing we had our trusty comedian station on Pandora to keep us laughing while we were sitting in traffic for hours, haha. When we got to the city and plopped down on the bed in our hotel room in the Fashion District, it was definitely worth it, though. What a view! It was spectacular!
The next morning, we got up early so we could go for a walk to Time Square and Rockefeller Plaza before it got super crowded. Fueled by strong coffee and scrumptious muffins from a little corner cafe, we headed off. It may seem strange, but there was something relaxing and even peaceful about walking the streets of New York City in the morning.
I love this lady so much! Can’t get enough of that laugh 🙂
And there just happened to be a J.Crew and Anthropologie right at Rockefeller Plaza…we didn’t plan that, but we definitely HAD to go in 😉
We had such and incredible time on the East Coast, and we cannot wait to go back! Anyone want to go with us?!
