There’s just something about running and huge groups of people that gets me pumped up and inspired. To see so many people gathered together in one place all working toward the same goal and encouraging each other to press on…it’s awesome. A couple of weekends ago we were in the heart of downtown Columbus to take pictures and cheer on two of my brothers and one of my sister-in-laws as they ran the Cap City Half Marathon. It was so much fun and really cool to be a part of the group of people lining the streets to cheer on all of the runners and then watch how excited people were as they finally crossed the finish line! Then there were those times when runners were worn out and struggling to keep going, and another runner would be there to help them persevere while the onlookers yelled “good job, you can do it!” I loved everything about being a part of this year’s Cap City Half Marathon, and maybe, just maybe, one of these days I’ll be one of those runners…we’ll see 😉
