This Thanksgiving, we have so many things to be thankful for. It’s been a whirlwind of a year. We’ve gotten to meet and work with so many awesome people, travel, teach, spend time with family, and I was able to quit my day job to work on photography full-time. And in all of this, we want to say “thank you” to you guys! We absolutely love what we do and you all make it possible and worthwhile. And for that we are so grateful. Earlier this week I was flipping through some of our old blog posts. Looking at the pictures, thinking about the stories…it’s such an honor to witness some of the most special and emotional moments in peoples lives, and it’s so special to be able to look through the stories…both stories in our lives and stories in the lives of the couples and families that we’ve gotten to work with. We don’t take what we do lightly, we carry it very close to our hearts and pour our heart and soul into it. So thank you for reading our blog, leaving comments, and sending cards…we cherish it and truly, truly appreciate it.
This past weekend, as it seems to be becoming a tradition, we headed to Indiana to visit a family that has become so special to us. The Howards. We first hung out with them over a game of Ticket to Ride a couple years ago, and now when we’re with them, we feel like family. Not only have Kimmy and Tim (and the kids as well ;)) become our close friends, but they are also some of our greatest encouragers and continually push us to chase after our dreams. We have gotten to partner with Kimmy to teach an intro photography class, and we’re planning more classes for 2014, which we are beyond excited about. Kimmy is one of the sweetest people we know and is the best newborn photographer out there, which she will be quick to deny despite the 45,000+ fans that she has on Facebook. We love her humble and caring heart. So thank you Howards…your friendship means the world to us!
Here are a few pictures from the super quick 15 minute shoot we did with them at a Christmas tree farm this past weekend! It was super cold out and even started snowing a little, so the kids didn’t last long, but we still had a blast. If you want to see some of the awesome pictures that Kimmy got of us, check out the post on her blog!
