Lina + Rob | Mid-American Windmill Museum Wedding

June 3, 2013

The first time Rob offered Lina his arm, they were walking around the Wittenberg University campus where Rob went to school, and as she looped her arm through his, he let out a “Yesss.” They had become fast friends after meeting at an Athletes in Action weekend retreat, and it’s quickly apparent why. These two go together like the South and grits or New England and clam chowder. They are just a perfect match for one another. But it was during a trip to Maryland to visit Rob’s family the first summer they started dating, that Lina realized she was falling absolutely in love with this guy. Up until then they had never spent so much time together, and it was wonderful! Since then, they’ve made a number of road trips, and just for fun they like to keep track of how many different states they have kissed in…their little way of appreciating the special little moments in life 😉

Lina and Rob decided to have their wedding in Indiana, where Lina grew up. They were married at Lina’s grandmother’s church in nearby Avilla, and had the reception at an incredibly unique and fascinating venue, the Mid-American Windmill Museum in Lina’s hometown of Kendallville. There are over 50 windmills at the museum, all of which were manufactured by Kendallville’s Flint and Walling Company, giving the celebration an interesting historical vibe.

Congratulations you two, and thank you so much for inviting us out to Indiana to celebrate with you and document your wedding day!

Thank you to all of the people who made Lina and Rob’s day wonderful!
