Every once in awhile, an opportunity comes along that you just can’t help but want to be a part of. When Jamie Delaine Watson, a talented wedding photographer from Vancouver, contacted us via Facebook about this big collaboration that she and her husband, Randy, were organizing, a collaboration of photographers from around the world, united to raise money to provide a school for kids in Mellier, Haiti, we immediately wanted to be a part of it.
Five years ago, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake shook Haiti, injuring or killing 500,000+ people and damaging much of the country’s infrastructure, including an estimated 5,000 schools that were destroyed. On April 12, 2015, we will be joining with photographers from all over the world for “The School Sessions”, to raise $200,000 to build a school in Mellier. Now this is where you come in. When you book a “school session” with us (can be anytime before or on April 12th), 100% of the proceeds will go toward the building of this school, to provide the children of Mellier with an opportunity that so many other children in Haiti don’t have. Together, we can make this a reality.
If you would like more information, head on over to The School Sessions to learn about E.C.C.A. School, the work that is already being done in Mellier, and how this school will impact the lives of the children there. If you would like to be a part of this and book a session, please send us an email and we will get your session on the books!
