June 8, 2012

I know, I know. This “Life Through Instagram” post is running a little bit behind, but give it some slack…the beautiful weather was distracting. During the past month we went camping for the first time in forever, started running, tried some new restaurants, and celebrated our birthdays multiple times! 🙂 My birthday and Jeremy’s birthday are only a couple of days apart and when it comes to birthdays, we don’t mess around…it’s not just a one day event, it’s more like a weeklong string of excursions and celebrations. And for the first time since we’ve been married, we were able to work out schedules to where both of our families could make it over to our place for a cookout birthday celebration extravaganza. It was a truly momentous occasion! Jeremy manned the grill while I commandeered the kitchen, putting together a truly delicious meal, if I do say so myself :). Then, we couldn’t help but break out our brand spankin’ new bocce ball set, which we played until the sun fell below the horizon and it became too dark to see. These, these are the kinds of days that create memories that last a lifetime. I’m so thankful for family and friends who make us feel truly loved and appreciated! Happy June everyone!
